I really want to go to columbia for engineering. I have ready in numerous places that the admissions to the fu foundation actually have a less selective admissions rate. My scores are already very good(i'd loved to be chanced here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/columbia-university/1005900-what-my-chances-ed-engineering.html) I would feel much better if i found out it was less selective then the general college. I know their engineering program is amazing and if it was easier to get into that would only make me happier. So my question is what are the real admissions stats for the Fu foundation

^it isn’t, SEAS is just as difficult to get into as Columbia college. The acceptance rate for seas is slightly higher (as it is for all engineering schools) because smarter students tend to self-select into engineering. The SAT scores for seas are very high (higher than MIT):

[Columbia University - 2009](http://profiles.asee.org/profiles/4625/screen/19?school_name=)

if you’re looking for an easy entry, Columbia is unfortunately not the place.

Admissions does however say they are holistic in their approach and are not at all looking for cookie-cutter applicants. If you can show them that you are interesting and have what it takes to succeed on campus they’ll want you.

I’m not looking for an easy entry at all. I was hoping to catch any break i could get. IT seems that even though the selectivity is higher the admissions might be harder because more of the applicants are qualified. My SAT’s are pretty good if you look at the link i posted
