What are the rules on transfering to Penn Wharton

Yea I wasn’t too keen on all this college stuff till recently I slacked off grades 9-part of 11. I’m back 100% on track now and after thinking about it I decided I wanted to go to Penn. Problem is my stats are probably on the lower end of the Penn Wharton UG spectrum.

Quick run down:

So yea I want to get into Emory or a school like Emory and then transfer. What are the rules on transferring, do they care about HS GPA or SAT scores? What GPA would I have to maintain in order to transfer?

thanks a bunch!

Apply to Penn directly. If your GPA shows the upward trend you're discussing here, then simply include an attachment stressing this. You could even write your essay on why you slacked and what caused the change. If well written, you still might have a shot at getting in.

I will apply, btw HOW did you get through all those essays on the app!?!

but even then do you know the rules on transfering

thank you very much

Another question:

If I apply to the college of arts or sciences and get in there, what are the rules of transfering to the Wharton UG program or taking classes from there/switching majors to econ?

thanks!

Penn has a "one University" policy, so if you are a student at the College, you can take classes at Wharton. I believe if you transfer from another school to Penn, you cannot make an internal transfer the following year.

if you are a transfer student into the college, you can apply for a dual degree with wharton/seas/nursing but are never allowed to drop the college.

if you got in as a freshman undergrad, then you can transfer if you have the requisite classes and gpa
