If anyone can post their list, that would be great. Thx

bump bump hey hey

UVA, UNC, UC Berkely, UCLA, Michigan, UW Madison, then a step down to schools like PSU-University Park, SUNY Binghamton, UT-Austin...

Where do you live goBears??? (Easier to get in locals...)

I live in Chicago. Yet not so sure I want to go to U of I yet.

If you want to go into engineering, UIUC is the best deal for you. It's a top 10 engineering school with a price tag of 6k/year.

I was just curious.. I'm checking out William and Mary and University of Michigan. -both have state residency as important factors, and i live in IL. are my chances way down now?

Yes...they are, to be honest.

University of Florida

Why are you asking for top publics when admissions might be as hard as a private school w/o state residency and is comparable to private tuition. If your parents worked for the government, maybe they striked up a deal or something. It depends on what your majoring in. UC Berkeley is one of the best schools regardless of being private or not. They do very well in virtually every subject and have a big athletics program to see every weekend (judging by your name you're a sports fan), making it one of the few universities that excel at almost everything. Since I live in San Diego, I have to endorse UCSD. If you want to do scientific research, SD is the place for you. It has the biggest government funding for scientific research in the UC system and was said to be the "hottest school for scientific research" or something like that. If you want to go to a school that is excellent in the "new majors of the future" such as bioengineering, then UCSD is a great place with a nice environment (La Jolla) and very study-oriented.

Miami University (Ohio) ??

Good school.

Not in order: UVA, UCB, UCLA, UNC, Michigan, Wisconsin, WM

after that, UCSD, UIUC, Ga Tech, PSU isn't bad

I think Wisconsin needs to be bumped down and Gatech bumped up.

uvajoe you're so anti-wisconsin, what gives?

I sense an east coast bias

I think flopsy has it right, more or less.

But I think the University of Pennsylvania is also one of the best state schools.
(nah jk)

LOL at Flavian!

I just have never really considered Wisconisin to be at that level, i could be wrong though.
