what is wharton looking for in its undergraduate students?

your question is too general, so I’ll answer with a very general response: excellence :)

lol
10char

lol srry. what i mean is what kind of extra curriculars does wharton like (broad selection, one or two solid ones, business-related)? what kind of people does wharton like (shown through recs)? how high a gpa is wharton looking for(is a 3.67uw, top 10% sufficient?)?

and another q…

am i allowed to apply EA (non binding) to University of Chicago and ED to UPenn? From what I know, the only requirement is that if I get accepted to UPenn ED, I will be required to attend, which I will if accepted.

If your school ranks, you’re going to want top 10% no question (5% is even better). Leadership is a huge plus, but FBLA and comparable clubs really don’t do much. Also, the most important tests will be the math section of the SAT/ACT and/or the Math SAT II.

And yes, as long as it isn’t SCEA (Single-Choice Early Action)

yes you can apply EA to Chicago

I didn’t apply to Wharton, but I know people who did get in and based on them:

you’re going to need AT LEAST top 5% of class if you want Wharton (unless you’re a URM). 3.67 sounds REALLY low for Wharton too, so work on that if you can. As for ECs, you most certainly want as much leadership as possible like Harbinger mentioned (but solid stuff…even beyond the regular club presidencies and sports team captainage if you can). You need to be really personable and you need to show that to them in your application. Yes, you need to be a Math whiz too. I’d say you should be taking the highest possible math courses at your school and 750-800 on the Math I and Math II is a no brainer. Besides that…cross your fingers and hope for the best?

does a 3.67uw gpa even matter if you are in the top 10% of a school in the top 300 nationwide?

kind of…

Propose to Amy Gutmann in front of the entire student body. The admissions committee will surely remember you.

2e4L
did you do that or are you saying in general?

cuz that was meant to be taken seriously

who knows it sounds creative and not a half-bad idea.

haha…yesss…i think amys cute…lol = p

If you couldn’t tell, I was being 299.792458% serious.

Disclaimer: Amy Gutmann is married, but feel free to try anyways. After all, it is the City of Brotherly Love (in the most nonsensical and immoral context).

…

Okay I’ll stop
