What are W-2 Statements and do they apply to International Students?

Hi. I have just sent in my parents' tax returns forms. The website also requests for W-2 Forms. I'm not a US Citizen. Do I still need to send in W-2 Forms? If so, what are they and how many I obtain it?

Thanks in advance! :D

A W-2 is a U.S. federal tax form that shows how much an employee earned from their company. If your parents do not work in the U.S. or work for a company that pays them from their U.S. portion, they will not receive W-2 forms. Companies must send W-2 forms to employees by January 31 of the following year.
You say your parents had tax returns. Assuming that means they made money from work requiring them to file U.S. federal tax returns, they should have W-2 forms.

I just checked with my parents. My country issues EA forms instead of W-2. Thanks for the information! :D
