i did FAFSA. i did CSS. i know they want your parents 2007 tax return. what else?

I should be doing mine soon, but I'm pretty sure the FAFSA and that CSS profile are the two main things. If they require any further proof of documents (FAFSA), they'll usually e-mail you and also mail you a list of documents they require. Just make sure everything was complete, once I start sending in my stuff I'll re-post if I remember and let you know if I missed a few things, which I probably did :P

Are you currently a HS student, or a transfer?

What about 2008 tax returns? (The instructions page is rather clear.)

you're suppose to send 2008 tax returns once available.

I believe you only need to send 2008 tax returns if accepted. If you have already been accepted, then you would need to send 2008 tax returns once available. Note too that you need to send returns for botht he student and the parents. If the student doesn't need to file a return for whatever reason, then you need to send a letter stating that to be the case.

As clear as can be:

Early Decision

it looks like for regular decision people you don't have to send 2008 tax returns unless you are accepted as the due date is may 1 and you find out in april.
