What are you allergic to?

nothingggggggg

I guess I’m allergic to mosquito bites too. It sucks because people always look at me like I have a problem because half of my forehead is swelled up like it got hit by a baseball and it bruises up pretty bad. Sometime it even looks like I have an extra knee or elbow.

The red pigment in most seafood after they’ve been cooked and cats. Does anyone know what the red pigment is that appears on shrimps/crabs/lobsters?

^^How do you know it’s only the pigment?

I’m allergic to many things. And I hate it. :(

I’m allergic to everything basically. Cats, dogs, pollen, grass, sesame seeds, nuts, peanuts, and celery.

Because I love fish, and fishes don’t have that red pigment when cooked. On the other hand, it might be something else I’m unaware of.

By the way, do you guys tell your doctors your allergies when they ask you? I never do…I just tell them I don’t have any.

I’ve only had one doctor since birth and therefore he already knows all of my allergies. He prescribed me an Epipen.

Why wouldn’t you tell your (numerous) doctors? I guess it depends on what types of doctors they are. I wouldn’t tell a dentist about my nut allergy.

I’ve heard of people being allergic to other food pigments, but never that one. I never even knew they put pigments in seafood.

Oh yeah and I’m also allergic to artificial grape flavoring. lol

You’re missing out. That’s my favorite flavor out of of all of the artificial flavorings.

Shrimp, my ears get itchy.

You’re probably allergic to shellfish, not the pigment. Very, very common. Includes shrimp, lobster, crab, molluscs, squid, oysters, scallops etc. Really the only red pigment I can think of is contained within the shells or exoskeletons of those crustaceans so it shouldn’t have affected you through ingestion. The actual meat, cooked, is practically blanched white. Some reddish parts of their under shoft-shell remain because it’s digestible and edible and usually too hard to remove completely.
