http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/IkeaNearYouView?storeId=12&langId=-1&catalogId=10103&StoreName=san_diego

Yeah. There is on in San Diego.

Darkdove, you're bringing a laptop and a desktop?

Does anyone here figure skate?

I'd like to learn how to >_> I can barely skate on ice. I know there's an ice skating rink in UTC, since I went there with friends when I visited them earlier this year, so I know I'll be frequenting that place when I have friends or family over.

Clothes are overrated.

And I just repeated what someone else said. Didn't read it before. Oops.
I lose.

Hey vii,
Yea, right now I'm planning to bring a desktop and a laptop. Mostly because I'm a gamer and my desktop's graphics processinng power is significantly better than that of my laptop. I might change my mind though, but right now I'm set on it.

Thanks for the link, Oyama.

You're welcome, DarkDove.

Also, I'm doing the same as you. I'm taking my 7 year old laptop only to wordprocess and take notes in college. I'm going to build myself another gaming desktop over the summer (coming out to $1200 without the monitor) just so I can have some diversions while in college.

oyama, maybe i can teach you! (i've been at it for 8 years)

how is everyone getting around on campus? is it like davis, with bicycles? skateboards? rollerblades? razor scooters? feet?

That would be awesome.

I will have my car to commute home/out of town, but will be using a bicycle or a skateboard to get around campus. Most of the time, however, I may just walk places.

what games do u guys play? cs? wow?

I'm pretty sure that I'm walking around campus. I thought that having a bike would be cool but after walkng around the area I figured that I would probably run into someone and kill them in the process of biking to my class. There isn't really an open place for bikes to roam, at least nothing that I saw.

I play CS, CS:Source, Half Life 2, Starcraft. I'm probably going to get into an MMORPG since I played one for free through a trial and it was pretty fun.

if anyone is interested in their free time in the future to scrim or do watever please say so

I haven't played CS 1.6 competetively for two years now. I might pick it up, though, in college if I find avid players to scrim with.

I think I'll mainly be playing WoW. I don't have it right now just because I don't have any time to play.

we should set up a UCSD server lol. make use of their 100mb/sec network.

Are you allowed to bike through the campus? The university I like by you can bike on the roads, but not down the walk areas or anything. I have been wondering that for a while, because UCSD is not exactly the smallest campus.

And someone mentioned they are bringing a snowboard. Is there good snow down there? And how close. Is it worth the room the snowboard would take up to bring it with me?

any1 past cal o on here?

there is mammoth for snow. (but it's farrr...really farrr. so no)

@ ILoveLarkin

I was Cal-O and my team had a record of 6-2. We missed going to the playoffs, though :{ I think I was up to par with lower-tier Cal-IM players.
