What is procrastinating really? Is it just not doing something? Is it avoiding responsibilities? Sometimes procrastination is just giving yourself time to make a decision. Not doing homework is just prolonging the agony because you not only worry about it getting done, which is a waste of time, you never get the chance to feel the joy of completion because you wait too late.

Then again if you finish something fast that means you will have to do more stuff. Probably stuff you don’t want to do. Some things get really bad with procrastination. Leaving dirty dishes in the sink can mean super hard to remove crust and some nasty bugs. Waiting to call someone back that has asked you out on a date could mean that even though you are tempted, you know it is not a good idea so extra time will allow your brain to have the truth float to the top and be recognized.

If you procrastinate on writing that book you have been dreaming of, it will not get written. If you wait to start working out, you will never get in shape. If you don’t do the laundry then you will have to wear your crap clothes. Some things have worse consequences than others.

^^ Cool story, bro.
