I’m a current senior. I probably won’t apply to programs this year because I’m reluctant to ask for recommendation letters from professors/teachers who don’t know me. I might take a couple of community college classes (I guess you can do that and not be considered a transfer student) or find something local to do. I want to look for a better job after I turn 18.

I’m also a current senior. I’m probably going to get a job, take classes, or do research over the summer. Just something that’ll get me out of the house yet still being productive. I think if I spend the summer bumming around I’ll never get the motivation to do work ever again.

I’m a sophomore and I’m planning to go to China over the summer through a scholarship program completely funded by the U.S. Department of State (IT’S FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~~!). I’m Korean but I thought I might as well learn about the culture and language in China. Don’t know for certain though. So far I’m a semifinalist :P

I’m a junior and I applied to governors school, so if I get in, I’ll be there for about a month. Plus I have to get ahead on college apps. Maybe I’ll work at this STEM camp that I worked at last summer, so I can pay for all those apps. I’m also applying to a girls engineering camp at Virginia Tech, so if I get into that, I’ll go. And I’m applying to get an internship at George Mason University, and if I get into that, I’ll be doing some research on computer science. And hopefully I can catch up on some sleep.

I’m a senior, currently dual enrolled. Hopefully, I get the internship I’m applying for- Bank of America Student Leaders. If not, I’ll be working at the mall (still fun) and continue taking college courses in the evenings. Nothing much, but the Student Leaders have a summit in DC, and I’ll also be going on the annual family vacation. My friends say they want to roadtrip before we’re off to college- let’s see how that goes.

Currently, I’m going to a country in Asia, where my parents are from. I’m hoping to do some volunteering there, because I’m always struck by the poverty there. So hopefully this year, I’ll be able to actually do something to help. It’s going to be very nice. =) I’m also hoping to go to some sort of debate camp- FFI would be my dream one, but I’m not sure if my parents will let me go. :/

Current junior. I’ll probably be doing more volunteer and extracurricular stuff. Maybe join the swimming team again. I think the prevailing things I’ll be doing over the summer will be studying for the SAT/ACT, writing app essays, and finishing the common app.

It’s not gonna be a fun summer this time around…

I’m a sophomore. And I to haven’t decided what I’m doing in the summer. I’m trying to look for volunteer activities or internships but I dont know where to start. I know I’m going to start preparing for the PSAT that I’ll be taking a few months after summer is over.

Current sophomore. I’m going on a mission trip I just don’t know where yet and marching band camp. I’m also taking a math course over the summer and hopefully doing research at school I just have to find a topic that I’m interested in.

Junior here, which means I’ll be doing college type stuff like writing essays, getting ahead on college apps, and visiting my last couple of colleges I’m interested in. I also possibly am going on a mission trip with my youth group, and will be doing some leadership stuff with my church. I’m in the process of applying to a few summer programs (mostly journalism).

Junior. I’ve applied to a few summer research programs. If I don’t get accepted to my “reach” programs, I’ll be at my state flagship over the summer. I’ll also be working on essays and applications for colleges and scholarships.

I’m a senior right now. I applied to the Navy SEAP program, I did a program similar last year (but it was 3 weeks shorter) and I really hope I get in. I guess should try finding a few other programs too.
Otherwise… I guess relaxing, I’d like to read more books, a speed reading class would be really nice.

Junior. This summer is pretty chill. Will update when I know more. But, I’m applying to a few reach programs, and doing neuroscience research at a lab.

I’m a graduating senior, and I’ll probably be going back to the camp for special needs kids that I worked at last summer for about three weeks and the rest of the time get a lifeguarding job and pack for my gap year in Israel.

Thank you guys. I’m going to be a rising junior and I know I’m definitely going to be practicing tennis (I’m varsity), self-studying Personal Finance (since it’s a state requirement and I don’t want to take it in school) and doing PSAT/SAT prep. I’m still looking for a do-able program in the Northeast/Tri-State area though.
