They didn't tell me.

How the hell did you get banned and I'm still on?

That comment about railing guys is too funny to delete.

I have no idea, lol. Maybe the thread where the three business_freaks talked about banging me ****ed off the moderators.

what did arjun say in the PM?

YAY I JUST DRANK SOMETHING b4 READING THIS--the "Big Apple Smoothie" from Big Apple.

hello people...... I discovered this Arjun guy only today although i have been for CC for some long amount of time.....

Btw there are many things i would have said here but would avoid to do .... as they would spark out debates that cud run for pages at a stretch. I rarely do post in these college threads but feel i shud here.....

1st thing : In India, there is no such thing as ranking of public or private schools.... so no need to boast off about any school or thing...

2nd thing: yes money rules at many points of time here but really talented ppl can anyways still be successful....

2rd thing : ARJUN IS NOT A STEREOTYPE INDIAN APPLICANT TO THE UNITED STATES.. believe me he will do much better at the IIT coz there ppl don't really need the fun things and stuff ..which i feel are essential for education anywhere else..... though i am also preparing for the same.. i contend and say always that LIFE GOES well beyond academics .Fun and play are equally high in priority which should be taken care of....

In arjun we all say a strictly disciplined academically excelling person .....but also fail to see any life there ......I am yet to see a majority of arjun-type in the whole of this country ... there was sure a very sharp sense of arrogance...ignorance and boasting in his comments i feel too.....the way he goes off to think He can open a counseling service in the city for students applying to US..... is ridiculous.....

There are loads of stuff which maturity teach.... and being accepted ED doesn't mean he learnt the art of US admission which is a long shot for anyone.... an acceptance if at all was enough of a qualification for one .. even in India....then we would have had millions cashing i already..coz if u all know Indian sends the largest no. of students to the US..

I commented coz i was Reading some of arjun's past posts and did really was striking off the air yelling """""" HOW THE HELL CAN HE GENERALIZES STATEMENTS ON THE WHOLE OF INDIA based on his facts and experience which were really crappy.....

Indians are different.. with certain exceptions .. and are loads of cool ones too... just look arnd at ur your places and ull believe me....

He didnt come back here coz he realized he wasnt respected here.... and nobody cud have gone in with that way....

No offense guys but i had to tel u all this.....

90% of the statements arjun made abt bangalor..schools....and India in general are highly incorrect in the broad sense and also specifically may be true to his small context and/or locality...

SMARTMIND
India

why thank you smartmind. most of us honestly didnt think he represented a majority of Indian students in the US. we were more or less annoyed? with his arrogant statements.

we really are a pretty relaxed forum if i may say so.
speaking of relaxed, what are the rules surrounding drinking on cornell days? i think there was a thread already about this, he|| it might even be this one. is it immediate rescinding of the acceptance if you are there with the RCS? what if youre there staying with a friend?

rules regarding drinking ..!!!!

cheap $10 handle of vodka...wooo.

Bartons 4 Life!!!!! Woooo

Smartmind you have no idea what you're talking about..There was ranking in my private school in Calcutta (CBS), and there is ranking at every private school (South Point, CGS, w/e) I don't know about public schools tho.

excuse me, but that has nothing to do with Bartons or what we're drinking right now...

thank you spanks. that man just ruined the Barton momentum.

Arjun's school, the National Public School, is a private school. Wierd...

As contradictory as Arjun himself! :p

Barton's, people! When it's really, really cold it tastes mildly decent

My gudness...i said ranking of the school not the individual students...

I meant there is no ranking system of schools in India like the USNEWS stuff in USA. for high schoolss. Ofcourse we are ranked for the academics..
Mayb i got u confused ,..,

SM

are you drinking that right now?

hell yeah i am...nice warm glass of...chocolate milk...lol. had u ther!! lol
ok, i'll stop...anyway, i want to clear up some points...us news is not an official ranking system...it can be pretty biased...india doesn't have any official rankings either, however, there are a group of upper tier schools like aiims for example where you have to pass an examination which is incredibly competitive, and which donation does not get you in as does other "ivy-type" schools. also, i'm an indian in jersey! lol. yeah, pretty much where 50% of the indian population is in the nation. well, indians are definitely cool, most-majority are funny...so, it's just what environment they're in...in fact, personally, i used to be pretty studious in elementary school, and then when i came to middle school, i hung more often with friends who were cool and smart. so, it was cool...so, yeah my point, idk lol, umm...don't assume all indians are alike
