What are you going to do when you get home Dec. 15?

me too! my teacher postponed the biggest essay of the year to the 16th, which will be hilariously awesome or it'll mean ill be sitting in my room, miserable, writing this essay because theres no way im writing it if i dont really have to.

I think I may skip that day of school and just go to the gym or something for a few hours then rent a movie or two because I know at school I won't be able to do anything (sadly), and since I'm on the westcoast I know at 2PM they'll be up but ill be in physics wanting to blow my brains out.

Yale First-Aid Rejection Kit:

First, take the day off from school.

Tubs and tubs of ice cream. Choose your favorites.
Movies. Lots of movies.
A Treadmill (Do NOT use with or immediately consuming ice cream.)
Kleenex
CHOCOLATE
Emo/Heavy Metal tunes

Oh, and for the kid who previously said he plans on having sex before seeing his decision:

lots and lots of condoms.

Add you own!

I expect to cry. A lot.

Edit: add to the rejection kit: One knife, a revolver, a rope, a lead pipe, a candlestick... [/joking]

Maybe... getting a life?
Does it really matter if you get into Yale?

^ yes. Oh yes, it does.

LOL at mjtyankee, I think I'll add a couple of highly-punchable pillows to the list.

ironmetal is too busy building boats to notice his decision.

I am making a music video after I receive my decision, regardless of what it is.

make sure the sound on your computer is on when you click the link!

there's a wonderful, cheerful rendition of the fight song if you get in. if you have the sound off, it's a tad anticlimactic and quite confusing.

but they do have some text saying you didn't / did get in, right?

because without that, it would be REALLY confusing

I don't know if I would want the sound on, because then I would know my fate before even reading it. I think I would rather click....close my eyes....and then look.

But until that time, I'm either going to be at hip hop practice or musical rehearsal. Hurling/Vomiting

Clicking refresh over and over

I hope we don't all crash the server and then get tortured for another 2 hours. That's what happened with the ACT. There were like 14 of us in the school library checking and all of us had to wait until that night.

my mom said i could stay home if i wanted to but i think that might be too much torture. i guess i'll just rush home and start refreshing every few seconds. maybe i'll get some coldstone to dull the nerves, although the sugar might just make me even more hyper.

I can't decide whether I want to check with the sound on or off.

On, and it will magical if I hear the fight song.
On, and the silence will be awful.

I've done so much scanning of letters and lists for acceptances (sports teams, etc.) that I can't imagine what it would be like to just sit there waiting for the sound.

I'm probably going to watch my favorite movie, then listen to some 2pac and @ 5:00 start acting like the average Yale SCEA applicant. (Probably leading to my laptop getting destroyed and my refresh button being annihilated because I will likely keep hitting until it plays some music, which of course will never happen)

In regards to the bulldog and the music for accepted applicants, where is the bulldog located? I heard that it replaces the A in Yale. But is it at the top of the page or the bottom?

P.S. Good Luck To All The Other Applicants!!!!!!!!!!

I get home from school around 3:45, but it will be a day of torture as I watch the clock move slower and slower as the day progresses. After I rush home (without killing myself by sliding in the snow) I will use the two wishbones I have saved and break them previous to 4:00 (Midwesterner). You can probably guess what I will wish for :) and I think I will 'persuade' my brother to wish for me as well. Then, I will wait in agony, refreshing over and over while chatting with y'all on CC!

I am also debating the whole music thing, but I am definitely leaning to keeping my music on!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!! Let's see that dancing bulldog!

I will get home around 4:30-4:45. So I'll probaly eat a little snack while I start my homework. After I see my acceptance/defferal/rejection, I'll probaly just go tell my mom and then cry my eyes out no matter what happens.

I guess there will be no checking in the morning then and telling my teachers happy or sad news. I will get home from swimming around four, do hw and try to relax til 5, at exactly 5, I will turn on my computer to hopefully miss the mad rush of people checking right at 5, then I will be screwed because I will either be too happy to concentrate on homework, or too horribley depressed to do anything.

I do give kudos to the Yale admissions staff for the bulldog dancing with music thing. Sounds pretty cool.

You guys are lucky!
