being able to live on my own and trying to meet new people

Independence. I want to do what I want when I want. I'm tired of my life being dictated by my parents.

Social life - I'm really lacking in this area right now. I want to meet new people and establish more relationships.

No more high school - No more stupid, tedious homework. Of course I will have to work hard in college, but I've really grown weary of the tediousness of high school over the past 4 years.

Girlfriend - I really need a girlfriend. The girls at my high school are icky. Hopefully it'll be better in college.

More opportunities - I can't do **** in the small town I live in. Nothing to do here. I'm ready to experience a big city (granted, St. Louis isn't the most exciting big city, I wish WashU was in Chicago LOL! But it is still a big city) and all of the fun things a college campus has to offer.

No more people acting they're 5 years old. I'm all for a good laugh, but the people in my high-school are so immature. I'm looking forward to being surrounded by other people who share my interests and work ethic.

Laptop Computer - I can't wait to get my damn laptop.

Pursuing my ambitions - I really want to learn more about my major and join clubs that will help me expand on my passion for investing.

Being challenged - High school is boring, it will be cool to be surrounded by other people who are probably as smart or smarter than me. It will be an awesome experience.

That's just what I can think of off the top of my head. There's countless other things I'm looking forward to.

And I couldn't agree more with the OP - I too am tired of being the "quiet smart guy." People have just started to stereotype me over the past 4 years. I'm ready to start fresh in college and make new friends - where nobody knows me or my past.

I'm looking forward to people who are not afraid of smart people.

You can all look forward to doing your own laundry!

^ meh, that's a small price to pay for getting to experience college life.

Plus I do that at home anyway lol.

no more busywork

Autonomy. I can't wait to be free at last.

EVERYTHING

being away from my parents for a while, having a social life.... meeting new people and most importantly a CO-ED ENVIRONMENT!!!!! I know that sounds strange but i've spent the last SIX years at an single-sex school.... time to get out there and MINGLE

Getting away from here...

sex and alcohol...

ok serious answer, the independence and freedom of being a college student. Being able to go out and chum it out with your buddies. Taking classes I actually like. Being in a better environment (i hope), my high school wasn't that great.

Freedom.freedom.freedom.freedom.freedom.freedom.freedom.freedom.freedom!

ugh, i need some distance from my overbearing, close-minded parents...

Depends where I go.

I just want to meet people. Also, college isn't high school. That's a definite plus.

Getting out of college and getting into med school. Then getting out of med school and getting into residency. Getting our of residency and make money, easy life.

Yep... gotta pay that 270k+ back somehow.

at the moment, getting rid of this mad senioritis

but aside from that, learning to live on my own and everything that comes along with that

Freedom, and not taking pointless classes. being able to choose classes, and the randomness of college. Not following the same gameplan everyday. Grades not as important (not going for grad)

Being able to get rid of History and to act like L from Death Note.

sense of freedom & accomplishment and of course, meeting new people and having new experiences :D

Eating mentos and honey nut cheerios every meal
