Lit Mag Editorships suck at my school. Right now, I'm * supposed * to be laying out 111 pages (no, I'm NOT kidding) of poetry, short stories, and artwork. You have to deal with freshman who can't handle simple instructions and violate the one rule of poster-posting (not on lockers!) and have people who have no taste in poetry approve stuff for the magazine.

Oh, by the way, theoneo, the one way to get that MUN position is to ingratiate yourself with Rajiv. From what he's told me, certain people already have a head start. Bake him cookies. Offer to wash his car. Tell him that his MUN speeches send you into orgasmic tremors.

^ Haha! At my school, we apply, and the sponsors choose.

Junior Class President =] Wish me luck.

Well I run for stuff but guess what I already got elected for...
President of Asian Awareness
Co-President of JSA
and I'm trying to found Deca

hey, im running for nhs junior vp for next year, and we have to give a speech...what should i put in it? because i dont want to list out my accomplishments as reasons i should be elected...any suggestions?

helpmegetin!:

Don't make your accomplishments the focus of your speech--your election rivals (as well as fellow NHS-ers) have the same or better accomplishments. Focus on any new ideas you have for the club, that's really important. And if you have a lot of experience with some major fundraising project, say that.

Speech and Debate team treasurer
MUN delegation leader

Okay, you don't run for offices in MUN but I want to be that next year.
