What are you taking next year?

So, I'm just curious as to what everyone is signed up to take next year.

Personally, I'm a rising senior. (So scary... we'll be seniors in six weeks!)

I'm going to take:
AP English Literature
AP European History
AP French Lang
AP Statistics
Public Speaking (Duel Enrollment with local liberal arts college)
Jazz Band/Concert Band

Nice schedule! Those are some interesting classes.

My plans for next year change, and here’s what I might have.

AP Biology (zero period)
AP Statistics (self-study if schedule doesn’t cooperate)
AP Calculus BC
AP Government and Politics (don’t know whether it’s US or comparative)
Writing
Journalism
Video Production (I’ll take an alternate A-G approved art course if schedule doesn’t cooperate)

I will most likely take seven classes, but I might be doing six if the schedule doesn’t fit.

I have no real clue yet. O.o

Hmm…

AP English Lang.
Conceptual Physics (Heck with AP sciences. I loved AP Physics this year and just want more physics.)
AP Micro Econ (Econ is required in my district. :frowning: )
AP Gov.
ASL
Band

Oh… I don’t know. I’m to the point I don’t really care about senior year. I’m not the typical CC’er.

College yo.

So yeah. Even though senior year was even more difficult than my junior year, I still slacked off big time. But it’s all good, cause I pretty much maintained my GPA. Nowadays, the only reason I go to school is to study for AP exams from which I’ll be wanting to receive credit.

This is my Junior year schedule
Pre-Calculus
IB English 11
AP Bio
AP Chem
Spanish 4 IB
Anatomy
AP US
Trying to go for a vigourous course schedule a notch up from what I have been doing AND improving my grade at the same time coz i know im that good

Rising Senior

AP Lit & Composition
Honors Physics 1
CP Senior Social Sciences
Algebra 3 & Trig
French IV Honors
Global Issues
Semester of Health/Gym
Semester of some other elective…don’t know what yet. Maybe ceramics.

Don’t you guys have any required classes? I had four one-quarter-long required classes this year, and everyone here seems to have none. Not even gym?

AP Calc BC
AP Chem
AP Lit
AP US Government
AP MacroEcon
AP Spanish Lang
Religion (required)
Academic Decathlon (aiming for state championships)

probably going some math and physics courses at a nearby university

oh ya question here. So my school says it offers regular physics and AP physics but that’s it and I know theres like physics 1,2, and 3 at some schools. Would my physics be like squished in with all those 3 physics or is it just physics 1

Senior year next year

First semester: Advanced physics, AP statistics, contemporary issues, english lit, AP Spanish, AP gov, AP calc

Second semester: Late arrival (hehe, I deserve it though), Astrophysics (Really great course because our school has a lot of access to the UW-Madison resources), AP statistics, european lit, AP Spanish, intro to philosophy, AP calc

A lot of interesting and challenging classes, I’m pretty excited actually

going to be a junior.

Honors Physics
Honors Math Analysis/Pre-Calculus
AP US History
Honors English 3
AP Statistics
AP Computer Science

Do you guys have only six periods per school day? I’ve seen some CCers around who took 10 APs their senior year and such.

Noob question: If your school doesn’t offer a certain AP you want to take, can you still self-study for and take the exam?

Rising Junior (WOW!):

AP Psych
APUSH
AP English 1
Honors French 4
Honors Spanish 4
Honors Trig/Precalc
Honor Choir

Undecided: AP Bio? I dont know. That may cause unneeded stress. I can handle this course load easily, because the only areas I ever have problems in are math/science related areas. If not AP Bio, a weighted business course! Any suggestions? I want to major in history, French/Spanish, business, or International Relations.

whatever AP’s my school doesn’t have i can take on the internet

md5hash…would you still receive the credit for that?

^^
Does the school recognize the grade?

randomazn14, it varies between school districts. My school has seven periods. Some schools have six, and other schools (esp. in the Midwest or Northeast) has as many as ten.

yea we do. we take them with an online course provider that has an affiliation with our school

if your interested: http://www.govhs.org

is the place where we take online courses

My school has 8 periods. My friend’s school in Mississippi has 10. That would be nice.

Next year senior:

Calculus BC
Econ./Gov. AP
English Lit. AP
Biology AP
Latin AP (if teacher retires and district doesn’t hire a new one the Spanish I HP)
Journalism
Marching Band
