What are you taking this fall?

Freshman
Pre-Political Science

-Shakespeare with Dickey
-French Cinema with Gans
-Evolution of Cosmos and Life Cluster

I'm obviously not a south campus major so I opted to take the cluster to knock out three of the science GEs, despite less than satisfied reviews. And I've cleared the majority of my Political Science prereqs at a community college, so I thought it'd be wiser to get rid of some of my GEs (:

If you've taken any of these courses or know any of the professors please let me know what to expect!

Freshman schedule:

Chem 20A
Math 31B
Eng. Comp 3

Junior (I can’t believe I’m only 2 years from graduating!) schedule for fall:
Math 151A
Math 170A
Physics 115B
Physics 112

Average load for me in terms of south campus units and difficulty.

I’m a junior and I’ll be taking Econ 102 and 2 of the following 3:

PIC 10A
Mgmt 120a
Physics 10 (GE)

Any suggestions? Would Econ 102, PIC 10A and Mgmt 120a be too much?

“Too much” is too much of a personal question to be answered here by us. We don’t know you or what you are capable of. I’m sure some people can handle it, just like I’m sure some people can’t.

Right, let me rephrase that. On average, about how many hours a week of studying would you say that schedule would require?

This still depends too much on you for us to be able to answer well. For example when I took PIC 10A I would finish the homeworks in 1 hour tops, while others in the class spent 6+ hours on them (I had no prior programming experience).

But I have no idea on the other classes, as I haven’t taken them.

Even if PIC 10A is mildly time consuming, it’s not going to be overly strenuous work. It’s also pretty easy to chip away at the program over the course of the week (doing it all at the last minute is probably not such a great idea). If an assignment takes several hours, you’ll probably have spent more of that time looking for typos than puzzling over how to solve the problem.
