just exactly wat the title says...

I'm pretty sure I'll be going to Georgetown, in which case I'll be turning down Harvard (waitlist). I thought about it for a long time, and I think that Georgetown is a better place for me and for undergrads in general (a view shared by a friend of mine who is a Harvard prof).

Harvard (waitlist) and Northwestern among the super top-tier schools...was also admitted with scholarships to NYU and GW/Elliott, as well as McGill.

I agree, even if admitted to Harvard at this point off the waitlist--it seems somewhat likely that I may get a deferred admission offer at least, with all my efforts to get into that place, don't even get me started about that saga--I think I will choose Georgetown. My history teacher this year is writing one final supplemental rec for the waitlist and he sort expressed that he felt SFS would put me in a better place from the undergrad. perspective and that Harvard would be a better bet for grad school.

I just think socially DC/Georgetown is way better than Cambridge... I mean how can you compete with M Street and Wisconsin Ave?!?! You can't!

Princeton and Yale.
My friends and teachers think I'm crazy (I am). But seriously - DC v. Princeton/New Haven?? Not even a fair fight. Plus, Georgetown just felt more fun. What's the point of college if all you're going to do is study? Anyways, look forward to seeing you all next year!!

bc, bu, william and mary, and gw/elliot...made honors programs at all and got a half tuition scholarship to bu and gw, which was hard for my parents to let me turn down considering gtown gave me no financial aid =/ but hey georgetown is where i wanna be, now im just up to my waist in private scholarships

Bentley ( with $10 000 scholarship per year), Brandeis,McGill, Tufts, Cornell, Swarthmore waitlist...

Duke and Hopkins

I turned down NYU, with a $10000/year scholarship, Tulane, with a $22000/year scholarship, and UF honors college with a full bright futures scholarship. Actually, Georgetown is the only school I applied to that didn't offer anything except for itself, lol. God I hope it's worth it.
