What are you using to search?

What kind of search engine are you using for your college search?

[College Navigator - National Center for Education Statistics](College Navigator - National Center for Education Statistics)

Cross-reference results with http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/national-merit-scholarships/649276-nmf-scholarships-updated-compilation.html</a>, then implement cost constraints.

Take a look at the students review and princeton review web sites for information and commentary on colleges you are looking into.

[College Admissions - SAT - University & College Search Tool](http://www.collegeboard.com)

CC has a new search engine. Tell us your SATs, intended major, home state, and other preferences. Let us help you search.

I mostly use [CollegeData: College Search, Financial Aid, College Application, College Scholarship, Student Loan, FAFSA Info, Common Application](http://www.collegedata.com)

Then I use the college match section to search for schools by name to get the stats: # undergrad, # grad, COA, 25/75 SATs, Gender %, etc. The same website has an EFC calculator, and a Data locker to add all your colleges of interest.

The best thing about the site for my use, is the Admissions Tracker section. This allows me to see a scattergram of Accepted/Denied students on a graph of SAT and GPA (but not from our high school, as Naviance does). I can then drill down to individual dots on the graph to see more information about the applicant… where they were admitted, denied, etc. according to their stats and ECs.

I used Collegeboard’s college match to find schools that matched my academic profile.

And then when I was narrowing my choices down, I used Princeton Review for basic stats about the school, College Tool Kit for admissions stats, U n i g o for detailed overviews of the schools (I highly recommend it), and College P r o w l e r for student’s opinions of different aspects of the school (I highly, highly recommend it) as well as TheU.

I had to type some of those sites funny because otherwise this site will censor my post.
