What Are You?

What types of people come to this forum? current students, former students, prospective students, parents? Why do you ahve an interest here?

Notre Dame Junior (Psychology and Computer Applications major).

I come here because I really want to help others. I relied heavily on message boards when applying to schools and they really helped me keep my sanity. Over that time, there were a ton of people who took time out of their day to answer the questions I had and I truly appreciated it. Because of that, I come back to hopefully help others and to guide them so they can become part of the Notre Dame family. That and the fact that I need some way to procrastinate, lol. That is why I am here.

Wow, that is the true Notre Dame spirit of giving back to the "community"

Notre Dame Freshman

Like irish68178, i have also registered because I want to help others. Last year at this time, I was in the same boat that you guys are in now and I know how stressful, exciting, anxious, etc. this time can be. I also relied heavily on message boards and I know how much of a help/encouragement they are.I truly love Notre Dame and couldn't be happier. I just hope to offer help or give any advice to prospective students in hopes of showing them how special and awesome this place really is.

in case you havent read any of my other posts on other threads im a HS junior, who, well, really really wants to be a domer

I'm a freshman student who was probably one of the most adamant members of this board around this time last year. I am in love with Notre Dame and have been since I was a kid. Last year I was waitlisted.. but I fought well (and apparently had one of the highest waitlist SATs.. haha being from Chicago sucks in this case) and now I'm back to help those with my acquired experience. Oh, and by the way, my roomate is from Jersey if you didn't read my other posts.

why would being from chicago suck? I know its a long shot but is your roommate's name ryan?

Depending on where you are from... your location can be a factor in your admission. NJ is what I'd consider a place that it doesn't much come into play, whereas places like Montana, Hawaii, South Dakota etc.. would work to your advantage and places like Chicago, South Bend, etc... could hurt you. No, my roomate is not named Ryan.

another long shot....Jimmy?
