What are your current preoccupations?

I've been worried about this 47-year-old guy who's really lonely and keeps hitting on me.

That’s pretty weird…:l

Call my pal Chris Hansen.

At this moment, I wonder what’s for dinner…

Hopefully I can fit in both of my placement exams for university in.

Hopefully my mom stops yelling (yes, it’s literal yelling :/) at me.

Hopefully I can stop being heartbroken soon.

^ aww :(

It’s a bummer…but CC whittles away the time :stuck_out_tongue: ! And two books that I’m reading now (yeah, I’m reading for fun again…it’s good stuff) keep me busy thinking.
I try not to listen to my mom (read: the inherent value of iPod headphones has only become ever the more clear to me), heh.

I started the day with telling my mother stuff about lamassu, and am now doing cultural lit stuff with her. I think we will watch Veggie Tales later.

^ Your mom sounds both loopy and cool. You’re lucky!

^You have her exact. <3.

Millancad, I love lamassu. When I saw my first one up close, I was like ! Assyrian art is teh best.

My current preoccupation is worrying that I will fail in all aspects of college life. :(

My current preoccupation is worrying that I will fail in all aspects of college life.

^Same here :(.

I am preoccupied by trying to get out of the biggest social rutt of my life.

^If you’re that bored, we can be friends. :)

Hello.

^^I hope that my fears are not proven true in a matter of weeks, xrCalicio23. But it’s nice to see I’m not the only person who’s a little disconcerted. :o

You’re not the only person. I was reading the student comments on courses on QGuide yesterday and was about to cry afterwards. The common wisdom was that life science 1a/b must be avoided at all costs, but I think it’s a requirement for those who want to major in bio (a.k.a me).

How detrimental do you think it is to have never taken AP Gov, Economy, chem, and every other AP course other there except five of them? Well, remedial classes here I come… :P

I’ve never taken an AP Economics course or any of the sciences besides Biology and Environmental Science, the latter of which I would consider to be a science only in the vaguest sense. I don’t think it’ll be too detrimental if you put in the work. However, it’s the whole “put in the work” part that scares me; I feel as if I may simply be hard put to adapt to a competitive atmosphere.

I’m avoiding reading student comments, but this QGuide sounds interesting. Is it on our portal or something? Or is it with the course selection manual thingy that I have yet to glance at?

Oh, I ended my sentence with a preposition. :frowning: Damn!

Hahahaha, only you would notice the preposition part :p!

It’s this here:
[Harvard Q | CUE Guide](http://q.fas.harvard.edu/harvardQ/qguide.jsp)

Oh, thanks! :)

I have a feeling I’ll be responding “extremely difficult” to more than a few of those courses…

Juust chillin

^^no problem :). I’m kind of confused right now as to how to choose courses --there’re so many of them, which one is the beginner course for each subject??? Well, it won’t be that big of a problem I guess since there’re only two open course slots left after writing and math, and only one course left if I opt to take a freshman seminar…
