<p>I don’t believe belonging to a society that you submit a lifetime membership fee for or show up to once a month qualifies as an extracurricular. Quality over quantity. Colleges want to see an activity you’ve stuck too for some time and it helps with the essay. “Societies” at my school are very unproductive. I’ve never heard of them doing anything except having random serve days at the school for kids to slap on an application. They also raised money for a tree they never bought. I’m sure they have a larger purpose outside of school though…I hope so. </p>

<p>Math Club: (9, 10, 11, 12) Next two years, I will be the president… and I will be starting it, since the teacher left, and everyone graduated…
Chess club: (11, 12) I will be creating this next year… cool
Key Club (9, 11, 12)
JV Cross country: (10) I had 8/10 letter points!! DUDE! I hurt my ankle during the season, and couldn’t run the last 3 races… could have lettered! Don’t have time anymore though…
Varsity Track: (9, 10, 11, 12)
JV swimming: (10, 11, 12) Yeah I suck, but it is fun
Marching band: (9, 10, 11) at my school it counts as a club since it requires sooooo much after school time
