What are your goals for the upcoming school year?

Get into my top choice engineering school (fingers crossed)</p>

<p>Freshman year:</p>

<ol>
<li>Get (and keep) a 4.0 GPA.</li>
<li>Take SAT in spring and score above 2200. (was at 2130 a few months ago)</li>
<li>Self-study AP Bio and AP Environmental and get 5s.</li>
<li>Study for USABO and make semis, then try to make camp in 10th or 11th.</li>
<li>Make the Science Olympiad/Science Bowl/etc teams.</li>
<li>Get one of the highest 3 seats in orchestra.</li>
<li>Tutor and do community service.</li>
<li>Not completely fail at everything.</li>
</ol>

<p>Class: Senior</p>

<li>Maintain 4.0 uw</li>
<li>Get 34+ on ACT</li>
<li>State-qualify for XC (again)</li>
<li>State-qualify for track in 1600m</li>

<p>1) Get 100’s in Economics, AP Statistics, AP French, AP Physics, and AP Calculus BC, get 95 in AP English Literature
2) Get 800 on SAT Physics subject test
3) Make States in XC
4) Get into Stanford, Rice, Penn, Cornell, RPI, Carnegie Mellon, Wash U, Johns Hopkins, Harvard
5) Be Valedictorian
6) Finish all college apps by November 28th (17th birthday!!!)
7) Become Math Team Captain
8) Become Newspaper Editor in chief
9) Get a girlfriend</p>

<p>-All As and Bs (Hopefully more As than Bs, really.)
-Find prom date
-Get a job
-Get SAT & ACT scores I’m proud of.
-Make a connection with a teacher (My only possible teacher rec left the school this year)
-Prove myself as a strong section editor of the school paper so I can become Editor-In-Chief next year.
-Self-study & pass AP Human Geo and maybe Com Sci.</p>

<p>Senior, here. :)</p>

<p>Goals:

  1. Get a 28 or better on the ACT this time. (Got a 27 last time.)
  2. Boost my unweighted GPA up MUCH higher than it is.
  3. Get my weighted GPA up some more, as well.
  4. Don’t burn myself out (I’m full-time at college for my senior year - I will be graduating high school with my AA as well).
  5. Study sufficiently and IN A QUIET AND COMFORTABLE AREA.
  6. Make time to go out with friends more. (I’ve always been socially awkward and definitely a loner…)
  7. GO to prom, with or without a date. (Preferably with…)
  8. Have an amazing time at Grad Bash and don’t let myself stress, at all, while I’m there.
  9. Try to prepare my mom (and myself) for when I move away for college. (She is already having mini heart attacks every time we talk about it.)
  10. Relax.
  11. Get all A’s for the next two semesters.</p>

4.0 GPA for both semesters.
Join at least two clubs I’m interested in.
Participate more in my out of school ECs (volunteering at the hospital, art museum, and music venue).
Take the PSAT, score 190+.
Get at least a 4 on the AP Physics exam.
Get a 760+ on the SAT II for Physics.</p>

Work on visual novel script.

Volunteer 100 hours at hospital (it’s technically mandatory, so yeah.)

<li>Be more social.</li>
<li>Work something out with the counselors to let me take my last required quarter of gym after school so I can take AP Psych. Or something other than one quarter of gym and 3 quarters of study halls. Sheesh. </li>
<li>2300+ SAT (super), especially raise my Math score. I HAVE NO CLUE HOW I DID SO BADLY. Math is supposedly my best subject but somehow I did the worst on math. Hell, I even did better at Writing than Math. How. Did. This. Happen. </li>
<li>34+ ACT - though really less important than the above. </li>
<li>Figure out if I like Physics, then decide my major.</li>
<li>After deciding major, figure out which schools to apply to. Good thing there’s Common App so I can do most of my work before deciding. </li>
<li>Get all As so I can get in top 5%… not that top 5% is really that much better than top 6%, but it’s a nice round number. </li>
<li>Get a prom date. Maybe that one girl that I’ve liked for a while but haven’t done anything about … sigh.</li>
<li>Make Varsity tennis. </li>

-join the school newspaper/JSA [I want to double major in Econ/PolySci and minor in Journalism, so these will be good prerequisites, in addition to MUN which I’m already a part of]
-be more active in Community Service Club
-gain a bit of a leading role in Tech so that I can be the unofficial “head techie” my senior year
-revive the country music club
-become a more active member of the GSA
-be more helpful to new underclassmen [I’m not mean or anything, but I really want to be a proctor next year]
-keep doing well in English so I can be recommended as a peer tutor next year
-have fun.</p>
