What are your plans next Friday at 3pm?

Just thought it would be fun to see how people plan to open their decision next
Friday? Are you going to wait until you are alone? Are your parents planning to be there with you? Are you staying home from school or waiting until later in the day to check?

Just curious....As for me, I plan to wait until I get home from school that day.

3 PM EST right? I’m planning on getting on a computer during lunch break at school and checking it. I’m simply too impatient to wait any longer. Heck I might even check whether or not I got admitted during class.

I’ll check in my room with the doors closed. If I don’t get in, I’m going to sit in the closet and cry.

^ Haha, I hope you don’t do that.

I will be probably be on the way home from school, checking on my phone…or as soon as I get home. I DO NOT want my parents to be there.

im gonna check during school haha. i dont care who is around or whatever if i get in great if i dont its all good too!

it’s an early release day for me. i’m out at freaking 11AM. four hours to chill and do nothing (awesome right? not when i’m awaiting the decision.)

I’ll be coming home from school early, probably around 2:00, then shutting myself in my room and watching Saturday Night Live until the decision, and then I’ll check, and if I get in I’ll keep really quiet and try to find a fun way to tell my family (while simultaneously buying a TON of penn apparel), and if I don’t I’ll just sit there, silently, for a couple of hours. Then cry. Ohhhhhh godddddd

I’m actually going to be in the Quad with my friend. If I get in I’m going straight to Penn Bookstore and buying a hoodie. If not… not too sure what I’ll do. My mom said I’m not allowed to cry aha.

I’ll check in between classes and then either not pay attention for all of Calc because I’m so excited or because I’m so disappointed that I got rejected/deferred.

^^I don’t know if it’s such a good idea to be at Penn at the time hahah

My school ends at 3:40 PM, and then I have a half hour train ride back home. (I don’t plan on checking at school or on a phone.)

That’s going to be the worst train ride of my life.

^ Awww. Try not to miss your stop XD

I agree with blueee and samesies. On Friday I have a theater competition in which my school’s drama club compete against other high schools in South Florida by performing a one-act play. I am in the play. We are scheduled to perform at 4:00 p.m. I don’t know how the heck I plan on performing knowing that a decision lies there for me.
I will wait to check until I get back home, lock the door with NO ONE in the room at all. Watch a UPenn promotional video, get excited about Penn, light a prayer candle and pray, then CHECK! I’ll have my eyes shut as I click log in the squint to see what it reads.

i’ll be back from a 100 marks chemistry exam by 2:55…
and after that, the RESULT… aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…
nyway, i dont hav ny high hopes though///////

Since I live in California, it’ll be up by afternoon… I get home by 1:00-ish on Fridays so… I’ll check on my desktop (in the living room), and if I do get in… I’ll plan something for the next 5 days, since I told my parents results come out on the 15th.

I’m going to do something for them for being with me and encouraging me through all these years!

If I don’t get in… I’ll just tell my parents I didn’t get in and finish my other private school applications… no big deal. No use in sulking. Time is precious!!

@thefreakedout,

That is exactly what I plan on doing, my parents think the decision comes out on the 15th, so if I get in, I have a funny plan to let them know I got in, it will be classic, only problem is that I have to get in, haha.

Haha, just thinking about getting in & setting up something big for my parents gets me all excited.

I wish the best of luck to all of you!!

I also haven’t told my parents that the results come out on the tenth instead of the 15th… So i have a buffer if I want. I am going to be at rehearsal (either acappella or play) so I am having my best friend read the site for me. She wont tell anyone like LOUDLY if I dont get in. I just can’t view it myself, ya know? I can’t press enter to login. I can’t be the first to see it. I was thinking about getting a sweatshirt if i got in, but those chances aren’t too high. Anyway, I wish EVERYONE the greatest luck =) like my mom said, “You’re gonna go to the school you were meant to go to… and if you dont like it, transfer!” haha

I leave school at 2 PM (CST) right when the decisions are announced. I’ll be on my way to Starbucks with my best friend to sit and enjoy a nice beverage before opening the decisions portal.

Seniors get out at 2:10 but i don’t have a car or license(16 years old). If i get a ride, ill be home around 2:25 and the next 35 minutes will be hell!
If i ride the bus :frowning: i get home at 3:10. Itll also be the wordt bus ride of my life. I truly hope I get in and I have faith in God. Good luck to all !
