I'm having a lot of trouble picking out safeties to apply to. :-/

UC Davis, maybe UC San Diego

You're lucky your public education system is so good.

yea that's what i was thinking. Best bang for your buck, which is y i haven't applied to ne private school safeties.

right now... UCI, USC, UCSD, & Oberlin

hopefully I'll have more after I get the Dec 3rd SAT scores. :p

USC and William & Mary

and to a lesser degree Tufts.

SUNY Binghamton

IU Bloomington

I'm already in at Rutgers.

And I have a bunch of schools I think I have a pretty good chance at -> UChicago, Rice, Wake Forest

Rutgers and probably GW (sister attends). Maybe BU?

Boston University

Not UMass? lol

Delaware and Brandeis, may add another if I get deferred.

Whitman, Williams, Swarthmore, Brandeis, Lafayette, Middlebury, Macalester, Connecticut College...ah, the list is endless. My counselor wants me to apply to 20 unis! So I guess these could be considered safeties, since I want to get into Yale/Harvard/UPenn/Stanford.

i dont think williams and swarthmore are safeties- theyre two of the top, top lacs in the country, in their own way, just as difficult as hyps.

I agree. I'm applying to Swarthmore as well and I consider it a reach school because it's got a 25% acceptance rate, comparable to some of the Ivy Leagues.

Oops...really? Just goes to show how clueless I am about the application/admission process :p

My D - UMich...already in.

wow quiltguru, that's an excellent safety!

im thinking uw-madison. as an instate kid with good stats, ive got a good shot.
