What are your study habits?

Do you listen to music or must you have a completely quiet environment with no human/animal contact? Do you study/ do homework right when you get home or wait until a certain time? What do you normally do when you are studying? What class do you study for most?

I like to have music on when I’m studying. I usually take a shower and then do my homework. And i study for English and biology the most (vocab tests)

Let’s just say. . . I study a bit too much. Not so much for classes, but rather for the USAPhO.

Regardless, I require a completely silent room, with plenty of liquid refreshments.

I watch Youtube videos. I basically can’t learn from textbooks, which I assume will eventually be a problem. I have trouble with reading in general because I start just…sounding out the words in my head rather than understanding them.

AP Chem = wake up at 4 in the morning before the test, learn the material for the first time, fail the test
AP English Lit = no studying
Chem II = no studying
World Geography = no studying

lol what’s studying? i hate studying because i can’t stand sitting there reading and relearning the same things.
i do homework right when i get home because if i put it off, it won’t get done.
the only class i study for is pre-calc and i just go through problems out of the book. i probably should study for ap bio too, but i’m at the point of no return and that class is just too hard.

I just read the book and go over notes, in between “taking breaks” aka procrastinating. I’m fine as long as the house isn’t super noisy.

procrastinating… is my second name… seriously… I start studying at 3PM… finish at 12AM maybe… 3AM sometimes… with like 3 hours of actual study … i need help i swear… hopeless case… But it’s good i have a good amount of adrenaline in my system lol… am the best at last minute stuff… end up getting high 90’s so… XD

But this would make my life MISERABLE in uni… i know i know… hhhhh… what to do…

Procrastination. (period)

AP English = I don’t study, at all. Half of the time I don’t even know what we’re being tested on until I get the test that day. Always end up with a 95+
AP World = Reread the entire unit, pray for a 75. But my teacher doesn’t weight tests THAT much, so even when I do bomb them, I still end up with an A+
AP Environment = Study? Huh?
Trig/Pre-Cal = Do practice problems over and over.
Latin = Go over vocab with flashcards.

i like having music, but my mom doesn’t always let me, so i usually don’t listen to it -.-

ap chem = look at barron’s, 5 steps to a 5, or PR for 1~2 hours the day before a test
spanish = study 5 minutes before a quiz
ap lit = we rarely have tests, but if we do, i study for about 30 minutes the day before.
apush = i study 30 minutes a night and 1~2 hours a day or two before the test.
ap calc = lots of practice problems / past FRQs

i tend to procrastinate.

My study time,

Chemistry - It’s not AP so its easy.
DE: Spanish - I am Hispanic
English - Are you even supposed to study?
Geometry - Lol
AP Euro - My recent notes are on Eastern Absolutism, we are on Post-Industrialization Era…
French II - Read my notes and sound them out
AP Art History - I write notes for chapters on flashcards with images. Never looked at them again after due date.

Well, looks like I am lazy :/

I read notes, make flashcards, watch youtube videos, look at powerpoints, and sometimes quiz myself. I also make tea before studying hehehahahoho

I’m a strictly flash cards girl. They’re the only things that work for me!!

For AP Physics and AP Calc, I read the textbook, do some extra problems and make sure I understand the concepts and the applications.

For AP Bio, AP Lit, and AP Gov, I just wing it.

Seeing these last two marking periods, it’s worked pretty well.

Spanish- yup…nope…
Honors Pre-calc- retake the notes and practice problems until I fall asleep 2-3 days before a test… then pray for a 75
Honors English- yup…nope…
APUSH- all our quizzes are open note… for tests I just retake the notes then type them out
Honors Physics- practice problems a little bit but my teachers weighs tests and labs equally… last quarter I had a 75 test average and an 87 in the class

The day before, I try to study, but I procrastinate and usually don’t study until night. When I wake up, I study allll day and quiz friends (which is a surprisingly effective way of learning things). I study best in quiet, but there’s usually noise around me so I plug in music to tune it out. Maybe not the most effective way, but I get As and A+s with my method.

Precalc: solve review guide problems, re-do problems from my notes to understand process
World History: idk how but I naturally get one of the highest grades (with only a history buff to beat me :/)
English: Quizzes/Tests aren’t based on plot so I’m good. I’m odd in that I get the metaphorical things before the literal plot.
AP Bio: try to study, but give up because there’s no lectures and average is automatically curved to an 89
AP Chem: study an hour or so 2-3 days before the test w/practice problems and mapping concepts, still fail because the teacher enjoys watching students miss a curveball.
