For everyone who is going to take the new SAT this year, how are you going to do the new short passages? I know for the long passages some people only read the blurb and then the first sentence of each passage, or they read the questions first then search for the clues in the long passages, etc. However, you can't do that with the short one paragraph passages, so what are your techniques for those? I mean just reading the whole thing seems really tedious.

boy ppl r tired of reading and answering this question. search it! it will help u more

Most of the time the questions for the short reading are general enough such that reading the entire passage is to your advantage. This is especially true of double short reading passages---it shouldn't hurt your pacing if you practice reading comprehension so that you don't have to re-read.

Just speed-read each passage and answer the the accompanying questions appropriately.
