I'm going to be a Stern prospective freshmen next year and because of my APs, I will be allowed to place out of:
18 credits in natural sciences
20 credits in electives

I want to do a double major in Stern over the next 4 years and do a decent amount of course work in comp sci (maybe a minor) out of self interest. How should I decide to use my APs for credits since 32 credits is the max. Is there a reason I shouldn't use up all of my credits?

Also, does anyone know if I can place out of writing the essay if I have a 750+ on the writing section of the SAT?
Thanks

Stern has a different set of requirements for AP credit than the other NYU schools. They don’t accept certain AP exams, so you have to check that. For instance, Stern doesn’t accept any type of AP business credit (Macroeconomics or Microeconomics) so that won’t work. Calculus doesn’t get credit either. Read page 3 of link I posted for all AP courses accepted at Stern and their credit labels:

I think with a 750+ on the writing section, you can take Commerce and Cultures instead of WTE. But you still need to take a writing class.

thanks fireman. checked all of em and im at the same stage (im taking bc, macro, micro this year).
from all the ones i took and my scores on them, i have the credits listed above:
18 credits in natural sciences
20 credits in electives

which credits are more annoying to complete and which will give me more room for a second major and a minor in comp sci?
