<p>Personally, I'm Taiwanese - born in Taipei, Taiwan. I can speak mandarin and understand taiwanese. Cannot write or read though.</p>

<p>I'm Vietnamese and Chinese. I can kinda speak Cantonese and I can kinda understand Mandarin. I know no Vietnamese at all... my parents don't want to teach me it.</p>

<p>I can read both Gujarati and Hindi and can understand everyday Gujarati, but can't speak it at all.</p>
<p>South Asian here... both my parents are Indian (but I was born/raised in the US). I can speak Urdu and can read it somewhat.</p>

<p>I think its safe to say that so far the indians seem to be the most "dominant" asian group</p>
<p>I'm punjabi also...what's up with all the Indian people, didn't think there were so many on the forum. Or maybe Indians just want to let others know where its at.</p>
