What Award Should I Cut?

I recently got a scholarship award, so I have to cut one of these from my Common App:

AP Scholar with Distinction
National Merit Commended Scholar
NHS

They'll know I received AP Scholar with Distinction based off of my AP tests, but NHS and Commended Scholar don't seem very prestigious. So what award should I cut?

NHS. NHS is pointless.

I’d cut AP Scholar with Distinction because, like you said, they’ll know you recieved the award from your AP score.

Any other opinions? I feel NHS is pointless as well, but Commended Scholar is kind of like “eh, you did decently, but not quite good enough.”

So far I’m cutting AP Scholar with Distinction, but I still want more opinions before I submit my app.

Edit: Yes, I know, this is a late app, but I made a new version of the Common App.

NHS as in National Honor Society or National Hispanic Scholar?

Rather than cut, group. Put NHS, AP Scholar w/Distinction and NM Commended all on the same line. Abbreviate if necessary so everything fits.

^ Am I even allowed to do that?

And NHS as in National Honor Society

Why not? It is your application - make the most of it. As long as you are posting accurate information, go for it.

To me it especially makes sense to group all the “expected” stuff - the things all of you top students do. You don’t want to devote a lot of precious space to them because they seem a bit ordinary since all the top applicants have them, but you don’t want anyone to think you didn’t do the basic stuff. Group.

Then definitely cut NHS. It’s more of an organization than an award; just relocate it to the EC section.

NHS is considered an activity, not an award.

Did you actually win anything in NHS, like a scholarship? If you did, like everyone else said, keep it and group, if not, like ^ put it in EC’s.

Either group them or move NHS to extracurriculars.

Group the AP scholar and commended scholar as they both are somewhat automatic, and your scores basically duplicate the information; leave NHS, especially if you held a leadership role or did something significant.
