What don’t you love about it? Fit or the print?
1214mom, I too have. TB swimsuit. Mine is reversible, so thin navy stripes on one side, flowers on the other. I also have a tanking from them.
Vineyard Vines is having a sale on the seersucker suit. I got that in white, as black is too warm.
I looked at this Johnny Was suit yesterday, but more $$$ than I spend. Suits don’t last me more than 2 years. The ocean is rough on them.
The print is nice. The fit on my pear shaped body not ideal. I think I picked sizing for comfort/modesty on hips, and so at the beach it feels a bit bulky on top. To be fair, this is the case with many one pieces on me.
Probably the swimsuit world could do a better job of varying model size and shape!
Lands End floral square neck tankini and blue LL Bean swim shorts. I feel more comfortable with more covering and I love swim shorts.
I’m getting ready to head to the keys and Miami. Haven’t bought a suit in about 10 years. Not a fan of bathing suits. My last one (athleta) I had to worry about my boobs falling out. I didn’t want that this time. Had to be something my 22 year old son wouldn’t be embarrassed walking next to his mom. My best feature is my back. My stomach not so much. Legs and arms are fine. Anyhow, I came up with this. I don’t look like the model, lol but I think it will do. And also glad it wasn’t $. Who know when I’ll wear it again.
I really like this! Cute back. Lots of color print options. I like the halter style. I have decent arms. I’m not small chested …not overly large chested but…generous… can you comment on that aspect for you?
I was looking at this …
My swimsuit collection has certainly expanded since we moved to San Diego and a house with a pool! Which suit I wear depends on how much sun I want to get, whether I’m home or at the beach, and whether anyone other than my husband will see me.
This is the oldest suit I wear and it’s mismatched. The skirt bottom came with me from Illinois but the tankini top got stretched out of shape. I found the bikini top at Nordstrom Rack the first year we lived here.
Edit - I’m most likely to wear this in the hot tub.
I liked the Tommy Bahama top so much that I went hunting online and found a turquoise bikini on sale at 6pm.Com (on the left). Together the separates cost $67 in 2016. My husband is the only one allowed to see me in it.
Then by 2020 my old Illinois suits were all wearing out. Early in the pandemic, I discovered HerRoom https://www.herroom.com/ with bra sized swimsuits. I took a deep breath and ordered my first suit (separates) online, total $118. That suit (Fantasie Coconut Grove) is my favorite for the beach.
I kept checking HerRoom to see if I could get a matching bikini top for that suit but it was discontinued.
But one day I found two one piece suits, each with only one left, happily in my size, at deep discount plus repeat customer discount. Both are La Blanca. Together I was charged $107. However, they disappeared in transit for a month with odd tracking showing them in both the LA and Chicago areas on the same day. When I live chatted a week after ordering, they said it was lost and issued a refund. Three weeks after that, they showed up at my door with two different shipping labels. Apparently they sat in Chinatown Chicago until someone came back from vacation and sent them back to the Post Office. And eventually to me. Final cost, therefore $0.
I wear the one on the left for sunbathing and to go with the landscaping ;). I occasionally wear the one on the right because my husband says it’s flattering.
I highly recommend HerRoom.
From LE: turquoise floral top and aqua & pink skirt
I’m plus size and am most comfortable with more coverage these days.

Women's Plus Size Quick Dry Elastic Waist Active Board Skort Swim Skirt | Lands' End
When it’s just H and me swimming at home, I wear a similar skirt in navy and this rash guard:
I don’t know why the photos didn’t post - sorry.
I’m a 36B-C ish. So definitely not big. I think the reviews say it’s better for bigger chested people. I got a large and I probably could have gotten a medium. I might have filled out the top more, but I hate tight things in the butt. But I think it looks ok.
I do like this dress coverup I bought on $9.99 sale (lavender color scheme, no longer available). Thin material, dries fast and packs small-ish
I’m forever grateful that my mom wears age-appropriate clothing.
I recently bought this from Lands End and have gotten more compliments, SOOOO flattering:
The reason I went with the one piece is that, for years, I’ve worn a plain black Speedo with a long sleeve black rash guard, like this:
I decided the one piece was easier and more figure-flattering. (I don’t want any sun on me ever.)
What I won’t be wearing if I intend to get in the water:
I bought one like this a few years ago. Cute, fit well. Impossible to take off when wet. Had to call my husband to pull it over my head. I need something that opens in the back, and I’m very average in the top.
Thanks for sharing your collection !
Links are great!
I buy my PrimaDonna swim separates from HerRoom! Great site.
I bet some of us “moms” posting can hold our own in a bathing suit for sunning - or to beat a “youngster” in pool laps.
NEWS ALERT - Apparently swimwear is 50%off at Athleta right now…
