Being a senior is not about trying to raise your GPA those last few hundredths of a point, two semesters can't significantly change the other 6,
It's not about cramming as many APs as you can in to your last year.
It's time to relax for once, miss a few homework assignments and skip a few classes, just have fun.
Don't worry about college, you'll get in somewhere. If you go to grad school, when you get a job they wont care about where you did your undergrad.
Once you enter the workforce, companies wont care where you went to college, they'll care about your work experience.

being a senior is about studying hard and learning things better than the other 90% of seniors who are slacking off that year, thus being top of your class frosh year of college.

My friend’s thoughts on senior year, which has proven to be MUCH more work than we were told:

dlksjdlsjad (10:41:04 PM): i’m convinced that theres gonna be a special secret meeting
dlksjdlsjad (10:41:18 PM): at the end of the year
dlksjdlsjad (10:41:36 PM): where we will be told to proliferate
dlksjdlsjad (10:41:39 PM): the myth
dlksjdlsjad (10:42:12 PM): of the bull-**** no-work senior year

For me, senior year was a time to become emotionally stable, not let a few bad grades hurt me, gain more self-confidence in myself and my abilities and just overall strengthen my body and mind for the next life-changing 4 years of college. I think that’s what it’s supposed to be about.

No offense to everyone, but this type of thinking is exactly what ruins that very hard worked for GPA (if you worked hard for it of course) As much as I’d like to get C’s in all my classes, I don’t want to ruin everything I’ve worked for just so I can kick back and relax. That’s what the SUMMER after senior year is for.

But why does your GPA matter if you’re already accepted to college. As long as you dont get your admission revoked your find. Once you get to college no one will want to hear you brag about your 3.9 high school GPA

But knowing that you got a 3.9 instead of a 3.5 (possible?) due to slacking off really shows your motivation and ability in your future years in college.

or you can see senior year as a test run for freshman year. Instead of doing whatever ridiculous grading scale your school does, take all APs and see if you can get a 4.0 where 92-95 is 4.0, 90-92 is 3.67, etc.

For me, second semester of senior year means being way more relaxed about my grades. (and by that I mean, if I get an A-, I’ll just roll with it. Whereas pre-college apps would have meant trying to argue my way to an A. I’m slightly insane.) It’s really quite a relief though. The only reason I’d be so finicky about my grades was because my classmates and I were always unspokenly competing to get the highest GPA, etc, even if we didn’t really admit it… and now that our lovely ranks are all sent in, I’m not going to push for the A+. Lalala. Also, by senior year if you’ve gotten all As all through high school, the teachers pretty much go by their biased opinions of you and aren’t going to give you a bad grade unless you really deserve it. Senior year rocks. Besides college apps.

hellll yeah these grades matter…i’m currently ranked #2 in my class, and if I get back to #1, college is completely paid for…most stressful two semesters of my high school career. =[[

^ why is college paid for if you go back to #1? #2 is like the same thing…
Everyone needs to relaxxx. I am usually crazy about my grades and have a 4.0, but as a senior I realize the grades are not important anymore. I’ve never been such a slacker in my life. I dont care if my gpa drops a few.
