SO. you might know me, Emma, who applied to Emma Willard and Miss Hall's and got into both but without money from Emma. Well, I LOVVVVVVE miss halls to death. it is AMAZING here. As we speak I am in my dorm with a beautiful view of the senior dorm and ivy covered walls of the senior garden. There is such cool people here and dorm life is awesome. Classes are pretty rigorous but managable. We got about 4 1/2 hours of homework the first night!! It's really good though, I've learned so much in just 4 days. If you don't know about Horizons, it's the community service program at Miss Hall's. We had that this morning (it's every thursday morning) and we talked about things we were going to be doing for the mhs community. We also had advisor meetings. Now for the fun stuff. We had lots of hall party type things with cookies and games and we watched movies in centennial hall at a day student-boarder sleepover. The food is SUPER yummy here and the chocolate milk is to die for. They also have a line where the chefs will custom make food in front of you, like pancakes with strawberries in them, or stir fry with your choice of veggies. People are very kind and I love my senior big sister. shes amazing. my roommate is from china and shes quiet but no biggie, i love hanging out with my friends and people come and hang out with me. I do have a friend from china, cheung, and she is HILARIOUS! she likes to mock me and we dance really wierd together. she also loves harry potter. I'll make a youtube video with her some time. I think I also might already have a best friend (Olivia) and shes so sweet and funny. As for sports, I thought I was going to try field hockey but I ended up switching to movement and dance, which also incorporates yoga/pillates. The campus is beautiful and my room is one of the biggest in the main dorm. check out the miss halls website (if you are a girl of course) and consider it. This school is very hard to hate. I'm having a blast. ask me ANNNNNNY question that pops up about life here!!! I remember when I was desperate for more inside info. welp, I have to get ready for dinner and study hall so I'll check back. hoping to be of help, EMMA!

Emmers - thanks for the update on Miss Hall's. I have heard really good things about your school, especially about what a supportive community it is. Good post.
