I am taking the new ACT with writing in April, and I was wondering what is the best Test Prep book to use for it? I am definitely thinking about using the Prinston Review book for it (because they were so accurate compared to my piece of crap Cambridge "SAT Victory" Book [wow, victory? more like absolute surrender, total annihilation, and self-destruction]). Is PR just as good for the ACT's as they are for the SAT's? Thanks!

I'm using Barron's. PR seems to go over the same points over, and over, and over - I've got those covered from the SAT books of theirs I've had in the past. Barron's overpreps you typically, and I'm loathe to check out books by other test prep companies.

Don't Use Cambridge Omg Burn It On Fire Quick Before Some Else Gets F***** Over Like Me!!!!!

Thanks dude!

Princeton Review's is AWESOME. Much better than Kaplan's. I'm still stoked on it even though I'm done standardized testing because it was just that good. (Although I'm Canadian.... Who knows if you should trust me.)

I thought that pr and barrons were good.

I bought The very best Coaching & Study Course ACT by REA and I like it very much. I think this book togheder with Barron make the best study for ACT if u wanna score high.

I'm using the official one, althought i can't really vouch for it since I jsut got it two days ago and have not taken the ACT, but I am sure the practice tests are accurate. Just sucks that there are not many ACT practice tests available.

The official one is the only one worth using.

Barrons is so dang hard
it's not even funny

I'm using Barron's...I just opened it today...and did the first 2 parts of the 1st test... but how do you calculate your test score? do they not write it...? I can't find it!!!!!!!!... it only says _____/ 75 (60..w/e the section) and not the out of 35 score?!!!

but yeah, barron's is really hard. :(

Yes . The official one is A MUST !
I just dont like Kaplan or PR because I have the feeling most of their tips are for low scorers.
