What books are the best for SAT Subject Test preparation?

I know that I'm going to take SAT Math II, but I'm still on the fence about what other Subject Test I should take. But, on Amazon I'm hearing about how certain books have loads of errors and I just don't know what to trust. What book(s) do you recommend for SAT Subject Test preparation, specifically Math Level II?

I used Barron’s for Math II concepts and Princeton Review for practice questions and practice tests. Barron’s was almost too hard to be helpful (but I’m bad at math), and my highest Barron’s practice tests was 150 points lower than my actual score. Specifically I used Princeton Review’s guide for both Math I & II subject tests. Some of the material in the math I section is good review for SAT Reasoning.

I also took biology and chemistry, and I studied from Princeton Review, and my scores were not HORRIBLE, but I was sorely disappointed. I couldn’t sleep the night before the test, but Princeton Review left out chemistry and biology topics that were on the exam. I’m retaking in November and definitely buying Barron’s, even if the practice tests are unrealistically hard and some of the material may be extraneous.

What do you want to major in? What interests you?

Make sure to check the subject tests that the schools you are looking into require. Math/science oriented schools require Math II and a science test.

Barron’s is said to be the most useful, but when I studied with it I didn’t fare so well. I think you do have to be pretty good at math going into it, or it won’t help you very much.

I’m not quite sure what major I want to take; I might apply as Undeclared. But, recently Computer Science caught my eye and Broadcast Journalism, too. (I’m not so sure that the latter is a safe major.) Ivy League schools are out of my reach. None of the schools I’m planning to apply require the Subject Tests, but I was hoping that the Subject Tests would boost my application a little.
