As an ED admit, I'm just curious to know if you guys got anything we didn't....

How Many ED Deferrals Got In RD?

havent heard yet.:(

I got the standard white folder, with phone numbers, acceptance letter, other letters and info. Also, there was this book on the thesis at Princeton. I don't have the folder with me at the moment...but the whole thing was pretty classy. Hmm....I don't think my financial aid stuff was included....I might have to call them for that...anyone else in this situation?

sounds very different from the ED package. Could any RD acceptees elaborate?

Book on the thesis? ...I don't think I got that.

a bunch of random stuff.... the book on the thesis is weird.. its a whole lot better than Harvards.. Harvard's was a mess...

Hey Mercedes, I got my finaid letter (Let;s just say that Princeton has been extremely generous in my case). For those wondering about the Thesis book, it has a black cover with a touch of orange on the side and it's titled "the thesis quintessentially Princeton". The book itself is the account of the experiences of past students and mentors on the methods they used to write their theses .
That's about it.

I agree with irock, too many stuff inside and absolutely no folder

oh. hmm...well we ed got white folders but it seems like the inside contents were different =/ hehe

hmmm, i got a white folder (RD), but no thesis book. eh? what happened?

We didn't receive the fin-aid award with the package so I called them.
A student got on the phone and didn't know what was going on. Finally they realized that it was a system error and a letter would go out Monday.
Columbia's package was done in a professional portfolio like manner. Great graphics and excellent paper stock. One thing it didn't have was Janet Rapelye's John Hancock.:)

what was in your folder tofu? did you get an honor code letter?

gianievve u need to get AIM =P

why? what did i miss? shrekie you need YAHOO!!! :p

gianievve- yeah I got the honor letter. lol, I keep looking at the Princeton letter, making sure that I'm still accepted. Luckily, I live just an hour away from Princeton, so when we visit (not today, it's raining), I can ask for a copy of the book at admissions.

Only some of the acceptees get Rapelye's signature and a "Congradulations!" at the bottom of the acceptance letter???

I think that's right

I got one, but it was printed--blue. Seems like Princeton's package for acceptees isn't quite uniform. Ah, oh well. We got accepted!!!!!! :)

Haha yeah...I got the blue signature and Congratulations on the letter. Are you serious that only some got that??? if so, interesting. Okay, so I guess I'll call princeton ASAP about the financial aid. gabe25 : nice to know there were generous!

Yeah, I agree that harvard's was just all haphazard and really huge. I still haven't looked through everything. I was overwhelmed. I like's how Pton's was classic and not too cumbersome. Also, did you all notice the language used in the acceptance letter? It was much less pretentious and more down to earth than some other one's I've received. They actually used "happy" instead of "delighted" lol.
