I just started my freshman year and I'm taking Honors Chem/Phys, Honors English, Honors History, Honors Algebra 2, Intro to Art, and Spanish 2.
My goal is to get into a college that focuses on math or science (like MIT or Stanford), but is this actually possible for me at this rate?
I don't have any leadership positions, I've only done three years of violin, I haven't won any math or science competitions (or any, for that matter), and I don't do any sports (I like badminton, but I've only done it for two years).
The clubs I'm joining are Science, Debate, and Robotics.
My current best SAT score is 1950.
What can I do to actually reach my goal? Is it even possible for me? I come from a fairy privileged family in a highly competitive area so I've never had any hardships or anything of that sort and my school has tons of AP classes.
I've been in Honor Society for two years, but I want to be more involved in my community, any ideas?
Thanks! :D

You are a freshmen so the first thing you need to do is chill out. Your classes are fine, and your ECs seem fine as well. You’re a freshmen so as you progress through your English/math class that score should naturally go up but feel free to continue your test prep.

For now, just try to make it through freshmen year with good grades.

During your sophomore year you can start taking AP classes and start being more involved in whatever ECs you’ll be in.

Junior year continue the same trend as Sophomore year and try to take the SAT I and SAT II.

Make sure you’re productive during the summer and whatnot as well.

I mean this is just a general outline and if you searched through these forums(after you finished your hw) you should have somethings about research/internships/summers programs/how to succeed in Math Competitions etc.

Jfc. Chill. You literally just started high school lol. Just work hard in school for the rest of high school, try to take AP/IB classes, take SAT/ACT and maybe subject tests. Basically do everything the person above me said.

Relax. Awards won in middle school really have no value in the admissions process, unless, of course, you’re a prodigy and accomplished something insane. You seem ambitious and motivated, which is a great start! Don’t worry about your SAT score, because it’ll inevitably get higher as you read more and finish algebra 2. Good luck in high school!
