What can I do to enhance my chances of getting into Binghamton?

I'm in my second year at my local community college (In NY)
My first year i'll admit I did so poorly in school mostly for my lack of attendance. I have taken summer classes in order to boost my GPA up and have received nearly all A's. Last semester my GPA was around a 3.2 and hopefully my summer classes will be able to boost it a little higher. Next semester I plan on doing a lot better, but I was just curious if anyone thinks me failing a few classes (I did not drop them properly) my first and second semester will impact my chances of getting in even if I show a great improvement?
I support myself fully with tuition and books and a maintain two part time jobs on top of it.

If anyone could give me advice on what to do for the next semester or so to enhance my chances it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank You! :)

Also, if anyone has transferred to Binghamton or knows of anyone who has can I please get some insight of your/their experience and process? Thanks!

I transferred into Bing last year. Your GPA looks competitive (assuming you’re transferring into Harpur; it’s harder to transfer into the prof schools) but an F on your transcript won’t look good. Just try to pull up your GPA and perhaps explain to admissions that you had difficulty dropping those courses and didn’t really “fail” them.
