<p>I'm an incoming senior at really good, competitive private school, about 3.1 gpa (but my school doesnt calculate gpa so this is an estimate, my grade average is between a B and B+. And we dont have AP classes or class rank), really good EC's & I'm Hispanic.</p>
<p>I think it's really important to show you are passionate about and committed to something, whether it is art, sports, volunteering, a club, etc. Also showing interest and enthusiasm about the school when you visit will reflect favorably on you.</p>
<p>I would add to start looking at the Kenyon application early and start working on the essays, especially if that is not a strength for you. (I'm not assuming it is or isn't.) I get the impression that the writing on the application is very important, more important than at most schools.</p>
