Also, is it possible to maybe perhaps switch to a M.S in Electrical Engineering after a B.S in BME?

Unfortunately, not much. Almost all of the exciting things will require a MS or PhD. Combine that with the fact that tons of people are seemingly flocking to BME because it is the “hot new field” with “tons of growth” there just won’t be enough BME jobs to support the number of graduates.

It is possible. However, most people seem to go the other way (EE/ME/whatever for a BS and then a MS in BME).

apply for a MS or MD

^^Thanks so much Purdue. BME is definitely an exciting field and I hope to do well in it. Its just that I find EE very exciting as well.

I was thinking of doing BME as an undergrad, so I can go to either EE or med school or continue BME after undergrad, depending on my interests/economic situation and opportunities. What do you think?

There was a similar question (or same) posted on this forum and I think one of the answers was that you can’t because BME undergrad is too broad and not specific enough for EE while EE -> BME is easy…

^But thats why I’m doing a minor in Comp Sci…and I’m also planning on doing BME with a more focus on the electrical part.
