What can I do with a degree in History from UCLA

<p>Hello ALL - Im trying to decide between a History degree from UCLA or Media Studies degree from Cal...I really would love to go into the entertainment world, as an editor to a magazine, research, tv producer, etc. Im leaning towards UCLA simply because, well Westwood is amazing, and the entertainment industry is at my finger tips. </p>

<p>However, Im wondering if having a degree from Cal in Media Studies would give me an bigger edge than History?? </p>

<p>An Advice? I have to make the decision soon...June 1 deadline is rocking my world!</p>

<p>Why would you major in history if you you want to work in media? Major in communications or journalism.</p>

<p>My history teacher, before he became a history teacher, worked in the film industry. He was actually one of the research people, he worked on The Matrix and a few others. It was cool though!</p>

<p>I would say Media Studies, but to reject UCLA is difficult, even for Cal!</p>
