What can I do with a math major?

I'm interested to know if there are job prospects/good pay for math majors. And also, if there are job prospects, what are the jobs?

You can do a ton of things w/ a math major. Try doing a google search tons of info!

actuary, accountant, professor, biostatician, mathematician, economist...

you can be hungry and die. hahaha jk actually being a math professor is hard. u know that you can't teach in the same college where you go your phd from. you have to move and on top of that its very hard to find professor teaching jobs for things like math and english.

if i were u my best bet would be to major in business/ finance and have a math minor :)

A good place to see what you can do with a math major is the site of the Mathematical Association of America. Here's a specific link:

Its actually not hard to find a job as a math prof. go to one of those websites that post college prof jobs and you'll see there are listings for math prof jobs...Landing the job I dont know, but they are not hard to find. Math teachers at all levels are in demand.

Seriously just figure out what you really love (thats the hardest part) and the rest will follow. Best advice Ive received, and the more I talk to ppl (in real life) the more I find that its actually true! G/L <3
