I am a junior, and I want to apply ED for JHU next year. I've been told my ECs are lacking, but I don't know how to do so.
I am an officer in a few clubs, involved in many honor societies, and do marching band.
I don't have many, so what can I do to boost my chances?
My GPA (uw and w) are on par, so I'm not too concerned about those.
HELP PLEASE!!!

Bump. ^^^^^

What is your intended major or area of interest? What do you spend most of your time on outside of school? What are you passionate about? If you can answer those questions then you should be able to make one or more of your ECs pop.

I’m going to be double majoring in biomedical engineering and either neuroscience/biology/premed. I am passionate about science. However, I am unable to participate in any researches or anything that will help me because they have an age requirement of 16.
I’m stuck here unable to do anything other than school clubs.

Be diligent. My daughter has done research for the past three summers and she doesn’t turn 16 until later this year. Deadlines are approaching for this summer so start looking now. If you’re still in a bind approach your science teacher for referrals or ask if they can help you design your own independent research project. You don’t have to be in a fancy lab to do research. Simply walk out your door. Colleges will appreciate your initiative and passion. Good luck to you!

start an annual charity event (like my friend created a concert called Music of Acceptance that raised money for Autism awareness and he and several other local and not so local bands all play a few songs for a recommended $5 per person donation), find a hobby and expand it into EC… like if you run, why not talk to a few other people and start a running club?, join a local orchestra, etc… just be creative
