I just got my scores; V:780, M: 780 Writing: 650
I'm a white male--many AP's, greta grades, excellent EC's, excellent recs.
Engineering major. Had hoped for Princeton, MIT, Cornell, Columbia
How much with the writing score hurt me?

Considering many schools don't even claim to look at the writing score (I surely imagine MIT doesn't), then I would think you will be ok

it won't hurt you at all

shouldnt hurt for mit, but the other ivies might care a little. but its not THAT low, so youll be fine.

I know it's a crapshoot, but anyone want to give me some odds?

I've got about a 4.5 weighted GPA, interesting internships, sports and arts leadership positions

You're good with those scores. CR+M=1560, and you have a 780 in math, which is upper 50% for MIT.
