So I was planning on doing internships this summer, I am a junior btw but I was rejected to the few I applied to early in the year .. so now I have nothing to do over summer, except to just get a reg job, but I really want to something worthwhile..
Any good internships applications are closed and I need some suggestions or ideas or anything that might still be open??
And I am a permanent resident, so that restricts me from gov internships which require citizenship
Thank you!

At this point, it’s too late to be looking for internships, as you seem to have realized. Get a summer job and do related things on the side or volunteer. What’s your major? If you’re CS, for example, learn to program some apps or build a game or a website.

It’s never too late!! What are you interested in / passionate about?

in college or in high school?

my major is going to be biology, going for pre-med
im in high school
anything science or math related internships are good for me

For high school students, many internship leads are conducted in March and April. You are a Junior in high school and you are probably not over 18 which would not qualify you for many positions. Work on any tests that you haven’t completed and work part-time (if you can find a job) to earn some college spending money. It is not easy for young people to find summer jobs.

Step one: Make the subject of your emails/threads easily understandable. #protip

But seriously, if I were you I would just start calling/visiting hospitals and seeing if they have any odd jobs for you to do. I don’t know anything about the medical field, but from a business perspective you’re never wrong in being persistent. Even if they pay you $8/hr to empty bedpans you still get to put their name on your resume.
