What can I put under the "additional information" section of the application?

Can I put that my high school has a different grading scale and I do not believe that my recalculated gpa represents the hard word I have put in or is that useless information and they are looking for something different. Sorry for the terrible grammar!

Sure, you can add anything you like in that section. IMHO, best use is to “explain” any discrepancies in your application or list any accomplishments that don’t fit anywhere else in the app.

If you feel there is something unique about your school’s grading scale (since you are OOS, if I remember correctly), then use it to explain your GPA/grading scale.

Good Luck!

@Gator88NE okay thank you! Also, I emailed the admissions office but have not heard back yet and I am not sure if you may know. On the Uf website, they list seven questions for the personal resume section. However, on the actual app, only four are showing up. Do you know if this is normal or if mine if screwed up? If you don’t know that’s fine because I kno this is the first year with the coalition app.

No clue. You’re doing the right thing by e-mailing admissions. Let me know what they say…

@Gator88NE I called and the girl didn’t really seem to get what I meant but she said it was okay the other questions weren’t showing up. She said the common app is doing their own thing so to answer the ones that showed up and move on to the essay.

If I have time this afternoon, my DS17 and I will start working on the app (him working, me checking my twitter feed…). That should give me a better sense of what’s in the 2016 version vs. the last one we did for my DD14.

But in general, being the FIRST to go through the brand new Coalition Application, can’t be a good thing. b-(

But like the new SAT (or the recent ACT fubar), we’ll all just have to power through it!! \m/

@Gator88NE good luck to your son!
