So let’s say for example I major in like art, but then minor in business, or I major in something like bio then minor in business. Would companies hire me for a business position still because I have the minor in business? Basically can your minor get you a job that is not related to your major?
Yes. Especially if you have work or internship experience related to that other field of study.
Yes, and my university advises art majors to get a business minor so they can better handle their art career upon graduation.
If you want to work in business I’d recommend that you major in business and minor in art.
It’s very possible to be stem and get a job in many industries/businesses that need the math-sci understanding. But to get the job, you still have to offer what they want to see, not just what the degree states.
But, it’s also possible to work in a field you didn’t major in. Or minor. There are many roles people play and many skills needed.
As a rising senior, you have plenty of time to figure this out and build a record. And to learn how extensive business is.
