Hi, I've always been interested in math, and I am becoming pretty good at it receiving high 90's in my trig class, and I was wondering what I could do with a degree in mathematics. I've always been interested in the string theory, quantum mechanics, and things of that sort and I was wondering if a degree in math would allow me to get involved in those fields. I was also like to know if there are any math specific scholarships around. Thanks for the help in advanced!

I think you’re probably more interested in physics than math, albeit it’s hard to tell. In any case, before you seriously consider a degree, you should look into some proof-based mathematics.

There’s a plethora of jobs for math majors, depending on how you sell yourself and what classes you take. That’s why a lot of math degrees have tons of electives. YOU decide what you want to do with it.
