I want to work abroad and do business with foreign companies, but what jobs can you get with an international business degree?

I think it would be more advantageous to go into a “hard” major like Ops Mgmt and work on your foreign language(s) than to go with i-bus.

Ask yourself what type of work would you like to do abroad, then focus on that particular major.

You would likely major in international business with concentrations in intl finance, intl marketing etc. And definitely include language study.

“Doing work abroad” is not accomplished with a certain major but rather is accomplished by demonstrating superior ability in one’s job. This is my fundamental argument against the international business degree. Its like getting a “management” degree. Just because you have a “management” degree does not and never will entitle someone to be manager out of college.

Agreed with trizz, international business and management are not giving you a foundation in anything.
