What career do you want to go into?

SAMginny16, I think we might be the same person. On every application, I wrote something along the lines of neurology/ pediatric neurology and I put my major as cognitive science.

Chemical engineer

I’m attention driven. I need a job where I can be in front of people. I can see myself as a politician or actor.

I want to go into either math or economics.
Economics is very interesting and it is needed in business and government and can prove crucial during recession. Kind of like Milton Friedman and what he did.
Math is going to be crucial in the age where we will try to dig deeper in the quantum string theory.

I want to enter financial engineering, where you use quantitative methods to analyze and predict the stock market. It’s the field where my dad works, and I hope to continue in his footsteps.

Oncology. I’ll probably end up majoring in biology or biochem.

I want to become a nurse and eventually go into the military for about 10 years, during which I’ll go to grad school to study a specialty, maybe critical care or NP.

I’ve wanted to become an engineer since I entered high school. Since then, I have narrowed it down to bio or electrical. I would like to do research, but that path really depends on the job market and the cost of pursuing a masters/PhD. Ideally, I would get a job after undergrad and then go back to school to pursue a PhD at a later time.

A superintendent of schools. I looked up my district’s superintendent’s contract: his base salary is 200k, plus the district pays for his car and phone. Just wow. And he’s always complaining that the state isn’t giving us enough money…hah.

I’m hoping to do something along the lines of biochemistry or molecular biology and go into academia.

It’s still a bit of a gray area for me but I have my eyes on either psychopharmacology or a pharmaceutical developer. But I also have always liked law or maybe a psychiatrist.

Civil Engeneering or Architecture… Still dont know which

I want to go into campaign management and/or strategy. My dream is to manage a presidential campaign and to work in the White House. I live and breathe politics and LOVE campaigning.

Neurology or Psychiatry.

Pharmacy, or Psychiatry, or Neuropsychology.

I want to reverse engineer the brain as an Artificial Intelligence researcher. Maybe. I also like politics and medicine and money and

My dream is to become a veterinarian, but just in case that doesn’t work out, I would like to become a speech-language pathologist CScD.

hmm… since im more of a media/performing arts person… id say an actress/dancer/writer…majoring in (still deciding) tv/film production…or communications?? I’m soo losstt lol help?

First Astronaut on Mars.

Dream big or go home.

@TinnyT, mad props. I’ve never heard anyone wanting to be a stay at home dad.

@Emc2Fma, yes! I’m taking an online course, and for our final project, we have to design a mission to Mars.

For me, I’m a mess lol. My loves are Biology and English, but I’m trying to explore my options. For biology, I want to either focus on the ecology/zoology aspect and study animal behavior and travel around the world observing animal/environmental interactions. For that job, I would probably major in bio and/or journalism/photography. Or I could go on the flip side and go for the molecular/cellular aspect and do research in a lab. The thought of unlocking mysteries on that level just fascinates me. For either part of bio, I would pursue my grad degree afterwards.

For English, I would probably be a literature teacher with the ultimate goal of being a professor. I love reading and writing and I think I have the potential to share my passion with students. Or I would be a journalist/editor.

Regardless, I will probably end up in the education system at some point in my career (whether for Eng. or Bio.)

And, who knows. Maybe this will all change over the summer (I’m a junior). I’m going to being learning about Psychology and perhaps I’ll be swayed  But for now, Bio. vs. Eng.

(Oh, and I will minor in French or Latin. Just because I guess.)
