I recently decided to switch majors to accounting with a minor in economics after four semesters as a Biology major. I have always had a desire to work in financial management, especially banking. The banking industry runs in my family, and they have been very active in teaching me financial literacy. However, the general vibe that I am getting from accountants online is that public accounting, at least in the Big 4, is miserable and stressful. I would like to think that I am sturdy enough for it (I am already putting in 80+ hours per week after everything is said and done), and I've been taught a lesson or two in eating humble sandwiches.

Still, I am starting to think that I did not pick the right major. Should I still continue with an Accounting B.S. track if I do not plan on getting CPA certification and instead going into banking?
